Open Question: Why do men find the prospect of females boxing topless erotic?

Why do men find the prospect of females boxing topless erotic? I am considering fighting topless in a boxing match against another lady, and asked about health considerations but got dozens of replies by men who seemed to think this was very erotic, or women who thought I was horribly demeaning myself. I just thought I would have a little fun with this. But I am curious. What is it about women boxing topless (or is it simply fighting) that men (or women) find so erotic?

Open Question: Could someone who knows what they're talking about estimate how long someone might have left to live?

I know nobody could ever give a definite answer about something like this without seeing her. But I'm just in a frightening situation and I was wondering could help me guess what state this person's health is in and whether it's likely that she has a death sentence already. My mom's been an alcoholic for 20 years (she is 50). I know she always used to drink a lot even before this and she used to take drugs in her youth as well according to my dad, but my dad says she's only been a serious alcoholic for the last two decades. She used to drink every day and night, apparently, but then for a couple of years my dad managed to receive her to only drink in the evenings, and she'd still receive horrifically drunk then but I'm guessing not as much as before. She has always been a healthy looking lady, about 10 rock, for a period of a few years she actually gained quite a bit of weight and was quite overweight for a little while. But anyway, in the last 12 months, there's been a huge decline. She's gone back to drinking from the minute she wakes up, until the moment she passes out. Some days she'll not do the day and night thing but receive up, drink for 2 or 3 hours, snooze for about an hour, receive back up, drink, snooze, etc, irregardless of whether it's day or night, she generally doesn't know the time anyway, earlier for example she asked us why we were up in the middle of the night when it was 4pm. My dad monitors what she has of the 'known supply' that's left out in the home, that's whiskey and sherry and she usually has about 25-30 units of that a day, but she always has a bottle of whiskey or vodka in her handbag that she swigs from, so the total units she'll have in a day will be quite a bit more than 25-30. On a 'best behaviour day' if we're seeing family or something she'll have probably a minimum 18 known units. Also, she's been addicted to prescription meds (lorazepam - a type of tranquilizer I believe) for more than 20 years too, and takes her days worth every in one go in the morning to give her a buzz, and often takes more than she's meant to so has to go to the doctors to receive more. The doctor knows she's addicted and doesn't use them for their original purpose but they refuse to take her off them as if it causes a heart attack, which is apparently quite likely, they can be sued, as they were the ones that mistakenly put her on them in the first place every those years ago. Anyway, her health has dramatically declined also in the last 12 months or so. She is literally skin and bone, she looks like a holocaust victim, she must weigh an absolute maximum of 5 rock. She still eats though, some days she'll go without and other days she'll receive cravings and have binges. Her face just looks so sick the entire time, I can't describe it but it's awful, and it's very swollen a lot of the time, especially when she gets up in the middle of the night to continue drinking. Her skin is very grey, but not (yet) yellow. Talking to her is like talking to someone with Alzheimers, even before she's drunk, she'll ask the same question repeatedly etc. It's impossible to know whether it's just the alcohol and pills or if she does actually have some form of dementia. She has started collapsing on the floor most nights now, from sheer drunkeness, she always has done it occasionaly but it's a regular occurance now, we found her lying in a pool of blood on the kitchen floor last night but luckily the blood was from splitting her chin when she fell, not from an orifice. She shakes a lot every the time and she also seems to receive a lot of random sores on her body from time to time, like very deep red scabs, I don't know if that's related to anything. She's also started having occasional nosebleeds which is new for her, but they aren't unstoppable or anything. She is a heavy smoker, I'll add. I just wondered if anybody had any idea of how much longer she might have left? It really feels like she's dying, but then I think about every the old age tramps you look sitting on the streets drinking alcohol that have been doing it for decades and seem to be alive and kicking, so maybe she'll go on for ages too. Life is just unbearable like this. Part of me wants her to pass away so she is put out of her possess misery, it's no life, and it's ruining my fathers life too and seriously affecting mine and my sisters happiness. But she's my mum and despite the fact that she can be vulgar and greedy and abusive with the alcohol, I do adore her, and the thought of her dying unhappy breaks my heart. So I don't know what I want. But I just wish I knew, either way. But she refuses to go and receive checked out. She goes to the doctors for depression and for pills but that's it. They know about her alcoholism but even he admits that while she is so stubborn, there is absolutely nothing we can do. Our whole lives have been a long battle and we're just about resigning ourselves to the inevitable, so please don't try and suggest ways of 'curing her' because believe me, there i is absolutely nothing anybody can say that we haven't tried a thousand times over. I'm not asking for a cure, I'm just asking if anybody might be able to guess what sort of state her health is in (I know it's not good) and how much longer a person can go on living the way she does? Thank you. Thank you for your nice words. But please know that it isn't that we don't adore her, we couldn't adore her more, we may feel superficial resentment at times but we always have and always will adore her. We might be enabling her by letting her have an open supply (which she does receive herself, but my dad controls). The only reason for this is that on the many occasions my dad's stopped this, she has ended up worse as she goes and buys ridiculously huge stashes that she keeps in secret and ends up in more of a drunken state than she does now. The only reason my dad lets her have alcohol in the home is so that he can monitor it and have some tiny control over what she drinks. I know she still has her possess 'secret' bottle on the go, but it's nothing like what she buys when there is a full ban put on her at home. So it's the lesser of two evils this way, sadly. The occasions when my dad has threatened to leave her, or actually said he will, she has taken an overdose. We know there's no way possible she'll survive if we do leave her now, she's too weak. Perhaps if he had done right at the beginning she'd have coped, but sadly this opportunity has passed long ago. And we've repeatedly looked into having her admitted to hospital against her will, but it's been flat out refused (I'll just add that over the years my dad has sought many second and third opinions to those of our possess doctors). And he's looked into the legal side and unfortunately we wouldn't have a leg to stand on if we did this. That's the sh*tty British system for you. We really have done everything in our power but the way it is at the moment is the best it's ever going to receive. We plead with her every day, we'll never give that up, but it falls on deaf ears. She doesn't even know she has a problem. Thank you for taking the time to read every that though, it is greatly appreciated :-) I forgot to say also, I am truly sorry for what you've been through yourself. I'm sure it can't be easy reading other people's problems like this when the hurt must be so raw for yourself, so thank you again Xx

Open Question: What is wrong with me?

I am 27 years old, I am in good health except for extra weight (which I am beginning to loose) but I cant receive pregnant. I am not one of those women who tried for two months and is just frustrated, I have been trying for years. My symptoms: I have periods but they are very bad, I pass big clots of blood, (one doctor said it looks as though I do not ovulate) I have really bad cramps, I have a cramp that occurs once a month about two weeks before my period should start and it is so bad that I have gone to the hospital for it (no answer there either) I am about to start going to a new doctor due to new insurance and I am hoping to go in with an idea of what is wrong on my possess. I really want a baby, can anyone help me? I am not concerned at this point that it is my husband I am more concerned about every of the odd things that are going on with me. For a while about a year ago I didn't even have a period and I got to go through the horrible part of taking pregnancy tests that were negative over and over again. I think I am hoping to go to this new doctor a little more informed and with a few ideas of my possess. I know that I may never receive pregnant again, but that does not change how badly I want another baby. So if anyone out there has any suggestions please feel free I am getting a little desperate.

Open Question: Do you think that women should be able to use birth control pills?

http://www.prevention.com/cda/article/access-denied/a9a466263d803110VgnVCM20000012281eac____/health/healthy.living.centers/ob.gyn.health/0/0/1 I was surprised when I read that some doctors don't prescribe them any more. The main argument behind this is when a true pregnancy starts. If the egg is fertilized, because of the pill it won't be able to stick to the uterus lining and slides off. Some argue that this is a chemical abortion. When do you feel the pregnancy begins?

Open Question: If we're socialists, you're totalitarians!?

The United States isn't the completely capitalist society you like to think it is. Have you forgotten about public schools? Socialized. What about the postal service? Also socialized. And did I mention libraries? So, you want to receive rid of those- go ahead. But you're being hypocritical if don't want universal health care for the sheer fact that it is "socialized". And hear to yourselves. You are limiting personal freedoms! Tapping our phone lines. Putting limits on gay marriage. Stopping women from having an abortion. This is just as totalitarian as we are socialized, is it not?

Open Question: Aren't Cristians like Sarah Palin supposed to tell the truth?

Lie/Distortion #1: She claimed to be an advocate for Special needs kids and presented the McCain/Palin Ticket as Shepards for Childrens health. Fact: John McCain voted against expanding Schip to millions of American kids. Remember the 12 year old boy who Republicans attacked last year? Here's a link to refresh your memory. Republicans don't have much of a track record supporting the needs of kids or the healthcare of Americans. Lie/Distortion #2: She compared herself to Harry S. Truman (as a way of saying that he was from a tiny town too....and as a way to deal with the experience question). Fact: Yes, Truman was from a tiny town in my home State. But before being nominated for Vice President, Truman had years of experience as an Army officer and Veteran of World War I, was a Judge, and was a U.S. Senator for a decade. This lady can't be serious. Lie/Distortion #3: Claimed extensive experience to be VP based on her time as Mayor of Wasilla Alaska, and her one full year as Governor. She claimed in the speech that she would explain what her daily duties were as Mayor... but she never got around to explaining. Fact: The town of Wasilla had a population of about 6 or 7 thousand when she was Mayor. This is hardly proper preparation to run a Country of 300 million and to deal with a $3 Trillion annual budget....the biggest budget in the World. Pat Buchanan (who Palin once supported) and other respected commentators, and former officials agree....she's not ready. Even Karl Rove agrees; Palin does not meet the qualifications for Vice President. Lie/Distortion #4: She stated that she has a track record of governing with integrity and goodwill. Not quite, Mrs. Britney Spears of politics. Fact: She is currently below investigation in Alaska for ethics violations...(also known as Troopergate) for the wrongful firing of her Public Safety director. Palin wanted the Public Safety director to illegally flame a State Trooper, Mike Wooten, who happened to be Palin's brother in law. Wooten was involved (and still is) in an ugly divorce and custody battle with Palin's sister. As if that's not bad enough, before becoming Governor, Palin was involved in the firings of several Wasilla City officials... who she did not agree with politically. These city officials were not fired because they were not doing their jobs...they were fired for petty political reasons. Sarah Palin was also nearly recalled as Mayor of Wasilla. Lie/Distortion #5: She is a reformer...and she killed the Bridge to Nowhere. The "Reformer" title is a stretch...and the Bridge to Nowhere story is a lie. Fact: In Alaska, Palin took full advantage of wasteful earmarks (when she was on the receiving end of the money). She also initially supported the Bridge to Nowhere...and was a big supporter of her mentor Ted Stevens... who was indicted recently on corruption charges. Palin was in cahoots with the same corporate donors who sent money to Stevens. look more on the Bridge To Nowhere from the Huffpost. Lie/Distortion #6: Claimed that her efforts to develop Alaska's oil industry would guide the nation to energy independence. Fact: We can't receive that much oil out of Alaska...not enough to free us from foreign oil dependence. And even if Alaska had half the oil that would be needed for energy independence... it would take at least a decade before we would look any benefit...and even then, it wouldn't be a significant savings for Americans. The Republicans keep framing the debate...and making voters believe that more drilling today will guide to lower prices at the pump next week. That's not going to happen. The best way to achieve energy self sufficiency is to use a broad mix of sources (including some additional drilling)... but the main focus should be to move from oil as a mainstay of our energy policy. That's old thinking. Breaking dependence on outside oil will eventually require an energy policy built around new forms of energy....alternative energy... wind, solar, hydrogen vehicles, new battery technology, ethanol, natural gas, nuclear, and limited clean coal resources. Palin is looking out for Alaska when she is talking about boosting the oil industry there...she's not looking out for the U.S. Lie/Distortion #7: Obama never wrote or sponsored one piece of reform legislation. Well....she was partly right... he didn't write or co-sponsor just one piece of legislation on reform... he helped write/ or co-sponsored at least 3. every significant. This lady is going to be worse than Cheney.... we will have fond memories of Dick Cheney by the time Palin settles in as VP. Fact: Obama co-sponsored ethics reform legislation as a Senator in the State of Illinois. After entering the U.S. Senate... Obama co-sponsored a Bill curbing gifts and gratuities for members of Congress... He also supported laws that require more transparancy (supported a Federal Website for the public) so that voters can look how C

Open Question: Doctor gave me an anti-biotic and it cause ?

I went to the hospital 09/01/2008 for a toothache. The doctor I seen gave me an antibiotic called Keflex they are 500mg. I took them for about 2 or 3 days. Everything seemed fine. Well on the third day I notice itching in my vagina. I thought there was something wrong so I read the health information and found out that in women it can cause infections. Well now I am itching worse than I was. I quit taking the medicine a few days ago and I am still itching really bad and where my pants rub I have 3 little cuts. I don't know if the cuts are from my pants or if it's just that dry that my skin split. I think I have a yeast infection. Is it possible for an anti-biotic to cause an infection? What can I do to cease the itching? And what can I put on the cuts? They burn. I bought some OTC yeast infection cream and some itch cream last night. Any ideas on what could have cause it and how to receive rid of it? Is it even a yeast infection?

Open Question: How much damage can your lungs take?

Ok I am a 25 y/o lady looking for a serious answer to some concerns I have. When I was a teen I was far less that concerned about smoking and what it would do to my health. When I was 13 I started smoking cigarettes (pretty consistently) when I was 15 (I REALLY HATE ADMITTING THIS) but I smoked pot for about 7 years after that. Ive always managed to be success-full despite smoking 4-5 joints a day. Apparently I was to scared to go to the Dr for my OCD and that was how I managed it. Enough to go thought college and military without getting into any trouble. About 2 years ago I had a wake up call and realized what a idiot I was being, unhealthy and illegal. Went to a Dr to manage my OCD andhaven'tt smoked a thing since. But lately ive been seriously freaking out. I keep thinking that I was so difficult on my body from smoking so heavy for that long that I'm going to have serious issues soon. How much damage can your lungs take???

Open Question: what do I do now, to get out of this friendship?

A lady who was a very good pal has become so dependant on me since she took sick. I live 3,000 miles away and she is trying to lay a guilt trip on me, she calls herself a princess and me the Queen mom ( no we are not gay by any means) she tells me I am responsible for her welfare and have to look out for her. She is 55 years old, has a husband ( no kids) has a sister whom she will not talk too and a dad whom she has just resently gotten back with after not speaking to him for 30 years, her mom died 5 years ago. My possess husband doesn't understand how clinging this lady has become. I want out of the friendship, and feel very sorry that she is is very sick and may die. I can't fix her, I have supported her 100% for a long time but have run out of the energy and will power to continue this cloying friendship, it really is affecting my possess health. and just want to run away from her. My husband thinks I should go visit her, but I just can't bring myself to do that. a few months ago she said on the phone to me. Her exact words... " I just want you to hold me" I can't do that...I have no desire to hold her in any way, I truly believe she thinks I can cure her, and I can't. I am desperate to find a way out. what do I do? I wrote her and her husband an e mail telling them I am NOT going to visit. I sent her a very religious card telling her to put her faith in GOD, and in one part of the card it said. God can heal every things, I wrote below those words "I CAN"T. and sent it to her. now she is trying to contact me by phone and I ignored the call. My question to the world is AM I WRONG? I am loosing snooze over this. it is 4.45 am I have been up since 2 30 am. what else can I do to cease feeling guilty. even though I have nothing to feel gulity about, burt when she phoned and I saw it was her, I said "Oh It's........ I don't want to talk to her". My husband said Awwww! THAT made me feel worse.

Open Question: Does Obama come over as being more practical and level headed than McCain?

I mean look at the news this weekend and reactions. McCain is pushing Sarah Palin as having foreign affairs expertise because she heads the Alaskan national guard. Forty-nine other governors can say they head their state guard. Most with more experience than her. If McCain really wanted a strong lady as a running mate he would at least have tried for someone like Kaye Baily Hutchinson. Obama sets back never over reacts to any thing and his answers seem well thought out. He just pointed to the latest unemployment figures (highest national rate in 13 years) and the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac messes as prove we need to be careful on economic issues. Doesn't Obama seem more level headed as well as in better health? Well I am not liberal and I agree with Obama on Iraq. I never wanted to go back in first place because I never believed they had connections to Bin Ladin or anything to do with 9/11. Nothing I have seen since makes me think I was wrong. More than a half million US troops could not hold Vietnam silent. On the long run the big victor in Iraq is Iran....at our expense. That reminds me. Before 9/11 the big crisises in forigon affairs in the bush administration were with Iraq troop maneuvrs, Red Chinese fighter pilot colliding with a patrol plane, and N. Korea bellowing like a spoiled child for attention... usually I am every for weapon sales to allies. But Bush has caused thousands of layoffs at Lockheed by refusing to release a sale of 66 F-16's to Taiwan. A proven ally. The local paper said his administration wants to sell 36 tardy model F-16's to the new Iraqi government. This one I don't like. They have too many ties to Iran and Iran has been trying to aquire our technology to reverse engineer for years....The Republicans don't arrive off as very level headed period to me.... I am not liberal at every Amanda. I do believe in common sense. I will take Obama because he thinks....

There are no hidden charges and your credit card will not be shared with the publisher." Does "with your purchase over $20 mean before or after shipping?" What if you are using promo codes? Open Question: how about this thought For Today -The passing of a friend ?

Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old pal, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as knowing when to arrive in out of the rain, why the early bird gets the worm, life isn't always fair, and maybe it was my fault. Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you earn) and reliable parenting strategies (adults, not kids, are in charge). His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a six-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition. Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job they themselves failed to do in disciplining their unruly kids. It declined even further when schools were required to receive parental consent to administer Panadol, sun lotion or a sticky plaster to a student - but could not inform the parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion. Common Sense lost the will to live as the Ten Commandments became contraband, churches became businesses, and criminals received better treatment than their victims. Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your possess home and the burglar can sue you for assault. Common Sense finally gave up the will to live after a lady failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement. Common Sense was preceded in death by his parents, Truth and Trust; his wife, Discretion; his daughter, Responsibility; and his son, Reason. He is survived by three stepbrothers; I Know My Rights, Someone Else is to Blame, and I'm A Victim. Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone.

Open Question: I'm worried about my unborn baby...?

Maybe it's just a paranoia, or insecurity. My first child was so healthy when he was born 17 months ago. He's still in great health. But I'm pregnant with my second and just about 4 weeks I think. Well, people usually say that your second child is usually different in the pregnancy. I'm just worried that I might have a miscarriage or that something will happen to it. Most women have miscarriages in the early stages, and I'm afraid that could happen, which yes, it is possible. I've heard that it could be genetic too, but my mom has never had any miscarriages, so it makes me feel a little better. I haven't made a doctor's appointment yet. I'm going to schedule one sometime this week so I can receive checked out and receive some prenatal pills. Should I really be worried? I still smoke, I know, I know, but I'm going to wait until it really is confirmed that I am pregnant, and not just some HPT. I don't drink, and I eat really healthily. I smoked with my first until I found out I was pregnant at 6w 6d so should I be worried with anything? Any advice or nice words would be appreciated. Thanks.

Resolved Question: Should I really go for it with him?

hi, i met this really nice guy online early this year, he works two jobs, one is for the flame dept of his city. We are planning on meeting up next month to spend some time together, but it really seems like he be playing me. Like he tells me he really likes me. At first we use to chat on messenger alot, and we would be on the phone, sometimes we would talk a long time, but now we talk maybe once a week, or once every other week. Ok, understand, Im not saying we have to talk every single day, but I at least want to talk to him to look how hes doing and things like that. I even sends him texts messages to his phone, and sometimes he wont respond back. If i talk to him, and tell him i am displeased about it, he will say im tripping, and that he really likes me and wanna look me. . This guy has such a big effect on me, He is really sweet, every that i would like in a man,he is 39 years old, and looks 25. I adore the fact that he is into health, and works out and i told him i would spend my life would him. He tells me I am sexy to him, sweet young lady, that He knows I am very honest and that he know he wouldnt ever have to worry about me lying to him, and that he loves the fact that I am willing to be with him.He also told me my age (27) is a concern for him, and that we are gonna have to spend time together to really look, and he say he really really likes me, but we are just gonna have to meet. Sometimes I think, if we meet, I know we will have a lot of fun, and that I would really fall into him, but I dont want it to be the same way that it is now. Sometimes, he will logg in and chat with me, Then sometimes, I look him on myspace logged in, but then he dont be logged into his messenger, (and this can be a time when I haven't heard from him in a while) So he told me one time, that hes not a player, but he knows a lot of women, so i told him that sounds like somebody that enjoys being single. And he agreed that i was right, but that he really liked me, and that i am totally different from every the other women, but we are just gonna have to meet. I talked to him like a week ago, then He did call me yesterday morning and I was so shocked, I thought my 3 year old made a mistake and called him. If I talk to him, I receive so nervous, and feel like I am Screech from Saved by the Bell or something.lol. But after about 10 minutes or so, I'm chilly. A part of me, is saying to take him off my myspace, and dont accept his calls, just to avoid every these emotions, but then when he call, i cant resist, i answer anyway.I want to give it a chance, Ive been so alone for a long time, and miss being with somebody.Sometimes, it is really easy giving advice, but I cant seem to arrive to a conclusion on this. I really want to give him the benefit of the doubt, and say maybe I am just taking this the wrong way, or falling in adore sooner than I thought, but I never want to turn my back on adore. What do you think should I do about this? Thank You Thy for every the responses, Tiffany W. why do I have to be needy and immature? what is wrong with wanting to settle down with someone who knows and comfortable with who they are? every a young guy my age is gonna do is cheat, hurt me, and bring back a std. Ive been with guys my age, and nothing ever comes out of it. However, I receive what you are saying, but that simply doesnt give you the right to call me needy and immature, because trust me, i dont need anybody. I want to be intimate with someone, and be with one person only,I just dont want to go through the motion of being scared of catching an std is every, but hey, no one cares about that nowadays, that seems to not matter. So to everyone else, thy soo much for your wisdom, and thoughts. I totally agree with everyone here. So I just decided not to go through with it.

Open Question: Queen Mab's speech homework.. it's easy! but please helpl!?

my homework is to illustrate the puns in Queen Mab's speech. can someone tell me 6 -8 puns in this speech and tell me how to/what to draw that connects to each puN? "O, then, I look Queen Mab hath been with you. She is the fairies’ midwife, and she comes In shape no bigger than an agate-rock On the fore-finger of an alderman, Drawn with a team of little atomies Over men’s noses as they lie asleep; Her chariot is an empty hazel-nut Made by the joiner squirrel or old grub, Time out o’ mind the fairies’ coachmakers. Her wagon-spokes made of long spinners’ legs, The cover of the wings of grasshoppers, The traces of the smallest spider’s web, The collars of the moonshine’s watery beams, Her whip of cricket’s bone, the lash of film, Her wagoner a tiny grey-coated gnat, Not so big as a round little worm Prick’d from the lazy finger of a maid; And in this state she gallops night by night Through lovers’ brains, and then they dream of adore; O’er courtiers’ knees, that dream on court’sies straight, O’er lawyers’ fingers, who straight dream on fees, O’er ladies ‘ lips, who straight on kisses dream, Which oft the mad Mab with blisters plagues, Because their breaths with sweetmeats tainted are: Sometime she gallops o’er a courtier’s nose, And then dreams he of smelling out a suit; And sometime comes she with a tithe-pig’s tail Tickling a parson’s nose as a’ lies asleep, Then dreams, he of another benefice: Sometime she driveth o’er a soldier’s neck, And then dreams he of cutting foreign throats, Of breaches, ambuscadoes, Spanish blades, Of healths five-fathom deep; and then anon Drums in his ear, at which he starts and wakes, And being thus frighted swears a prayer or two And sleeps again. This is that very Mab That plaits the manes of horses in the night, And bakes the elflocks in foul sluttish hairs, Which once untangled, much misfortune bodes: This is the hag, when maids lie on their backs, That presses them and learns them first to bear, Making them women of good carriage: This is she—" — Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet, Act I, scene iv

Open Question: Help for a D-: college student would be v. appreciated?

Mmmkay. So here I am in my second-third week of college. I am nice of feeling below the weather, and I think it may be a little more than the average lost and confused college freshman. I am concerned for my health as well as my glad mentality and peace of mind. Each of the problems I am having is pretty tiny, but together, they are making things nice of uncomfortable. As a lady, I have PMS (which sucks) and my particular case is worse than average (of that I am sure, but by how much I am not so sure). Okay, I take birth control to take the edge off of it and it super works, but I still need to monitor my moods at least a little and make sure that I am not feeling too blue. Right now that's nice of difficult. I just feel so out of place because I can't seem to connect to anyone. The people who are in nearby dorms seem to particularly like romantic relationships and bring their boyfriends/fiancees/lovers into the dorms and they snooze over and now my favorite bathroom is co-ed. I am pretty shy and unaccustomed to this so I end up hiding in my dorm because there is just so little order in the halls. Sure I like guys... but every of this? It's just going over my head, I've kissed a boy, that's it. The people seems nice though, just a little too wild for me to catch up. I am trying, but then my physical health gets in the way (once again, minor problems). I have found that I am having trouble eating I just cannot bring myself to eat a lot during the meals that are provided. I have to steal fruit in order to satisfy my hunger later. I have also had a lot of trouble with meat. I eat none (I think other people have this problem too) because it tastes and smells so bad to me. Another minor physical problem is how the heat is affecting my body. I am having a lot of trouble with determining if my body is hot or icy (I just feel so weird sometimes). When I receive too hot, my head hurts, I feel dizzy and breathing is a chore. I was feeling way disoriented and uncomfortable today so I took a icy shower: I think it worked pretty well but now I'm sweating like crazy when I wasn't at every earlier. I guess I could be coming down with a crazy icy. Anyway, I am not asking for a miracle so much as maybe an idea as to which problem I can tackle first and how I can tackle it to make things better. There are many things about college that I also like right now, like my classes, the beautiful campus and my nice teachers! I just happen to loose sight of the good things when these problems are causing my emotions to slip.

Open Question: What kinds of supplements and or vitamins would you recommend?

I am looking for an effective appetite suppressant. I always find myself nibbling on things constantly throughout the day and never feeling full. I've heard of certain products that help suppress hunger and I am wondering what you'd recommend and or have had positive results with. Other things that I am interested in would be a really good multi-vitamin for young women, as well as something to improve the look and feel of hair and nails (I've heard Fish Oil capsules?) Anything else that you would recommend for a young lady looking to improve her health and image. I would prefer legitimate, natural products that I could pick up at a local health food and vitamin store, but anything helps. Thank you.

Open Question: I think my step-mom is being very rude..?

This is long, I'm sorry but I really need some help ;( My dad recently passed away, and tardy this October we are going to scatter his ashes on his favorite camping\canoeing spot on a river (he was a big outdoors lover). My step-mom is pretty much putting the whole "ceremony" together, but I have a lot of problems with how she is doing it. For one thing, the location she claims he had requested to be scattered is only accesable by canoe, and it is a 2 hours trip to receive their through some rough rapids. For this reason, my grandmother (dad's mom) may not be able to make it there because she is not in good enough health to canoe in such a rough area. I think this is really wrong to do it without her, but my step-mom says he specifically wanted it to be done at this location... my grandmother would be heartbroken not to be able to make it and I have a difficult time believing my dad would actually want this to take place in an area she could not go to. I have a suspicion that my step-mom is manipulating this because she does not like my grandmother at every, and doesn't care if she can arrive. Also, I requested that I would like my best pal and my boyfriend to arrive along with us, and she didn't out-right say "no" but she kinda snuffed her nose at the idea, saying it was for family and my dad's best friends. It is very important to me that they are there... my best pal has been a part of my family since we were 8 years old (we are now 20) and my dad was the only dad she ever knew. Her possess dad abandoned her when she was a baby and my dad was always a dad figure to her and loved her like a second daughter. My boyfriend and I have only been together a year but I adore him very much, and he and I both feel so bad that he didn't have more of a chance to receive to know my Dad. I want him to be a part of this so he can feel more connected to my dad, since my dad is a huge part of me. How should I deal with this? I don't want to make a battle with my step-mom since she was the lady my Dad loved, but she is making this event every about herself which makes me so unhappy. My dad was very important to me, my grandmother, my best pal, and my boyfriend and we are not being considered much in this situation. Any advice??? Thank you!

Open Question: If you consider yourself a Christian, can you give me your opinion of something?

read something on a blog for Christian voters that I found so profound and intelligent, that I thought everyone should read it. My question is: after reading this, what do you think of her statement? It's quite long but, I urge you to try and read at least most of it. The poster is responding to another blogger who stated that now that McCain has chosen Sarah Palin as her running mate, Christians should vote for him. Below is her response. Here is the original link http://www.new.facebook.com/topic.php?ui... Donna Brooks (Columbus, OH) replied to Dennis's poston Sep 5, 2008 at 5:53 AM Shane, you are being hoodwinked by the right-wing again. When I was in college, I and my Christian friends voted for Reagan and were so excited because we wanted to look Rove v. Wade overturned. Here we are, a quarter century later, and they are still using that same carrot to receive Evangelicals every riled up to vote against the Dem candidate. Can't you look that it's manipulation? The Republicans have had CONTROL of every 3 BRANCHES of government for 6 out of the last 8 years. From 2000-2006, the Repubs had a majority in Congress, a so-called "pro-life" President, and 7 of the 9 judges on the Supreme Court were appointed by your Republican candidates. Yet, no legislation was ever passed to challenged Roe v. Wade. Why not? Could it be because right-wing Evangelicals are like Pavlov's dogs, and once the meme "Republicans-good; Democrats-baaaaaaad" is implanted in their heads, then every the far right has to do is play the "Dems - baaaaaad" abortion tune and Evangelicals HAVE to dance with their candidate, regardless of ANY OTHER CONSIDERATIONS!! This administration and the Republicans in Congress who have loyalties to party over country has: broken laws, lied to the American people hundreds of times, violated the Constitution, ignored subpoenas, attacked any efforts to hold them accountable as "partisan" and "unpatriotic", started a war against an foe who did not attack us, has approved of TORTURE, indefinite detentions without charges or access to a lawyer, has broken our treaties with other countries, has plunged millions of Americans into poverty with their HORRID economic policies, has filled the coffers of Big oil, pharmaceutical companies, insurance companies, Wall road investors, and the Saudi Royal family (an oppressive Islamic dictatorship, BTW), blocked every efforts to have a health care plan so that the 45 MILLION Americans who can't afford healthcare can have it, has subsidized the meat, nuclear, & oil industries,-- which are DESTROYING the Earth and its ability to sustain life as well as God's other creatures, and fired Federal attorneys who were independent and refused to prosecute only Democrats!! What part of every that is Christian? You will never hear this on right-wing so-called "Christian" radio. They are just a propaganda machine for the far-right. These people are LYING to you, man!! They are the party of BUSINESS, of SELLING, of MARKETING, of ADVERTISING. It's every packaging. Like Jesus said, they are white-washed tombs,-- beautiful on the outside, but inside fill with decay and the bones of the dead! Sarah Palin is hardly a "real treat" for Christian voters. Your ONLY consideration is that she is "pro-life". I am really disgusted that a party that is so PRO-KILLING has done such a good job of marketing themselves as being THE "pro-life" party. Consider abortion, for example. Abortion in the U.S. was on a steady decline the entire time that Bill Clinton was in office, but then started steadily increasing below Bush. An increase of 50,000 MORE abortions in Bush's FIRST TERM. Why? ECONOMIC POLICIES. People are STRUGGLING economically. Even I am struggling just for food and shelter,-- for the first time in my life!! In the 90's, EVERYONE did better, -- the wealthy, yes, but also the middle class and the needy, who were able to climb out of poverty. I didn't have an economic care in the world in the '90s, but I didn't know how good I had it until now. Conservatives are every about using FORCE, FEAR, and PUNISHMENT to *make other people do what they want*. Is that the way of Jesus? For example, they want to PUNISH women who receive pregnant by forcing them to carry the baby to term, but they insist on abstinence-ONLY education, on blocking access to birth control, and they don't do anything to help them receive pre-natal health care or to help them after the child is born. The conservative paradigm is "you're on your possess". Right-wing talk radio even MOCKS kids who came to testify to the need for healthcare for the 11 million kids without it in this country. Don't let them fool you. These people aren't "pro-life". They are pro-pregnancy, and I think it stems from a deep misogyny that says that women who have sex must be punished. If they really wanted to prevent abortions, then they would advocate for insurance companies and assistance programs to pay for BIRTH CONTROL, and NOT VIAGRA. Look at Sarah Palin. She advocates for abstinence-only education, clip funding for programs in Alaska to help pregnant teens, wants to have the government decide how many kids you are going to have, wants to remove the protections for the Polar Bear as an Endangered Species, and wants to open ANWR for drilling for oil. Drilling more holes and destroying more of God's earth to feed our ADDICTION to ease, comfort, convenience, and THINGS is not good national energy policy, nor is it good stewardship. Her policy isn't about getting us independent from "foreign oil". It's about bringing home PORK to Alaska. Oil is a finite resource. Solar and wind energy are completely CLEAN, will never run out as long as the Earth is here, are FREE, and abundant. Yet Republicans have subsidized (with taxpayer money) nuclear energy and Big Oil for decades, while eliminating incentives for wind and solar. WHY? Maybe it's because corporations can't CONTROL the flow of FUEL with solar and wind, the way they can with extractive industries, including uranium. Whoever controls the fuel, controls the price. Oh, Sarah Palin also has a bounty on wolves shot from airplanes. $150 for each front left foreleg. Do you think that pleases God? More "collateral damage"? Look also at the double standard: Could you imagine how the conservatives would be attacking Hillary or Barack Obama for bad parenting and not being able to even manage their possess household if one of THEIR daughters became pregnant as a teen? Yet they manage to turn this same situation into some nice of VIRTUE for Sarah Palin? So conservatives are "pro-life" as long as you are human, Christian, American, wealthy enough to afford health care, and unborn. Once you're born, that's it. It's everyone for himself. There's more if you go to the link. It's very long, but there are many more great points.
